			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As we all know, yoga is thousands year old tradition, where knowledge were delivered from teacher to pupil, when he was ready to handle it, without harming himself or others. The speed of modern life set to us new challenges; most of us simply can’t afford such luxury as solitude and service to your own Guru. As one Buddhist Lama said – it is natural, when monk reaches Nirvana, he dedicated his life to it, he shouldn’t be praised for it, on a contrary, when secular man reaches ultimate liberation, in spite of his career, family relationships and life in society, he the one, who should be praised and exposed as example for others.<br />
Let’s follow his example, let’s get our lives in order with Yoga tradition, let’s execute one of Niyamas – svadhyaya, or self study, which includes study of sacral texts. The problem is vast multitude of books on yoga, unfortunately some of them are very doubtful. Thus, here are presented my favorite books on yoga, which I recommend to everyone. <p>On Sunday the 31st of January 2010, yoga teachers and schools around the world will donate their time and space to a two hour yoga session which is devoted to human rights. The class should be held from 11AM &#8211; 1PM sharp, local time in each time zone, which will lead to a 24 hour yoga marathon around the world. Devoting our thoughts and energy globally to the human rights issue will generate a powerful impact. Students attending the event will donate whatever tuition they can afford. All contributions are welcome and also students who can&#8217;t pay at all – the money is important to help victims of human right violation but so is the spirit.</p>
<p>Hatha-Raja class will take place at Labo Sajūtu Laboratorija Brīvības gatve 214b-504, Rīga, Latvia.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The <strong>Hatha Raja</strong> and <strong>Classical Kundalini</strong> classes focus less on alignment, and checkpoints as it is assumed that the student already knows how to perform the postures safely, and attends other Akhanda Yoga or holistic classes to explore shifts, micro-movements and sensations in the physical body among other things. The Hatha-Raja and Kundalini classes work from the Pranic level inward, as the students explores the subtle shifts in the breath and energy systems, (Kundalini), and the sound and energy (Hatha-Raja).</p>
<p>The <strong>Hatha-Raja</strong> class is a sequence of moderate postures practiced in a slow and mindful way in conjunction with the sonorous Brahmaree Pranayama (honey bee breath). The intention in this class is to lengthen the breath in the postures with sound. It emphasizes postures that influence the pineal and pituitary glands of the brain helping to bring the mind to a calm and uplifted state. The class concludes with 20 minutes of meditation. It is excellent for anyone wishing to release stress and increase pranic awareness through sound, movement and meditation.</p>
<p>The <strong>Classical Kundalini</strong> class integrates postures, oscillating movements, Tantric Bija mantras, visualization of the chakras, and pranayama techniques to clear the subtle energy passageways (nadis) and their junction points (chakras) promoting clarity, vitality and peace.</p>
<p>The assumption here is not that the class is more advanced if it is more physically demanding, but rather that in terms of asanas, the classes can be practiced at different levels of physical intensity from moderate to dynamic. A practice becomes advanced as the practitioner experiences it on deeper levels of awareness.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Yoga Workshop Muladhara – Essentials of the holistic yoga class, how to bring your practice to new level and sustain personal development.</strong></p>
<p> As yoga teacher, often I realize that time in my classes is flying and there is no opportunity to spend more quality time for important yoga elements like mantras’ chanting, bhandas (energy locks), pranayama (breathing exercises), Surya Namaskara (sun salutation) and deep relaxation (Yoga nidra), thus I come up with idea to conduct workshop with detailed examination of already mentioned yoga elements, where will be enough time for them. During this, two day workshop we will discuss in details major aspects of yoga, as well do practical exercises in Akhanda and Hatha-Raja Yoga style.</p>
<p>All workshop participants will receive certificate, that they had listened fourteen hours course, which could be interesting for yoga teachers registered with yoga alliance, because I am RYT500 that makes my workshops legitimate for Continual Education which require minimum 10 contact hours, according to yoga alliance’s rules.</p>
