Govind गोविन्द

Govind is my spiritual name, which I received from my Guru – Yogi Vishvketu, my worldly name is Aleksejs Busarovs. I was born in 1977, in Riga, during young age did a lot of jogging, then for the first time experienced moving meditation, in sport more known as second wind, which made the hole difference to my practice, ever since I tried to return that feeling. At the same time I visited The Chinese Pavilion and Japanese tower in Royal Residence of Belgian kings in Brussels, which awaken my interest in Asian traditions and culture. This interest, under influence of pop culture idols, such as Madonna and Sting, brought me for the first time to yoga in 2003. It was love from the first sight, that still lasting. Gradually, with developing physical skills, arouse interest in yoga philosophy. In 2005 destiny brought me to Tibet, mountain Kailash, where according legend lives God Shiva, patron of yoga. In 2007 started to teach yoga myself, year after went to northern India, to Dharamshala, in order to increase my knowledge in yoga, where gain my first yoga teacher certificate.

Year 2009 was significant for me, in this year I become member of “Circle of light” international network of yoga enthusiasts, visited Rishikesh, the yoga capital, where met my Guru – Yogi Vishvketu, who gave me spiritual name Govind. It is one of the names of the God Krishna. It is a name referring to one who enjoys life to the fullest and who brightens the lives of others. In the Anand Prakash Ashram, under the direction of my Guru I took advanced yoga teacher training. I was lucky to meet in person such a great yogi as Yogiraj Vishwapal Jayant and Swami Yogananda, who celebrated his 100 year anniversary in 2009. Now I am registered yoga teacher, according to Yoga alliance standards RYT500, continue to teach, develop my own practice and meditate. Exactly meditation is the key to all yoga, thus my sincere advice to everyone – meditate more often
